ABIGAIL WILLIAMS: New Song Posted Online

July 21, 2008

North American black metal band ABIGAIL WILLIAMS has posted a new track entitled "Into The Ashes" on its MySpace page. The song comes off the group's full-length debut, "In The Shadow Of A Thousands Suns", which is expected this fall via Candlelight Records. The initial recording sessions took place in Notodden, Norway, with guest drummer Trym (EMPEROR, ZYKLON) laying down tracks at Akkerhaugen Lydstudio with engineer Thorbjørn Akkerhuagen (EMPEROR, ZYKLON, WINDIR). Once the drum tracks were complete, the rituals continued in the American Southeast with producer James Murphy, at his own SafeHouse Production studio, for the remainder of the recording and mixdown.

ABIGAIL WILLIAMS will participate in this summer's Thrash And Burn tour, also featuring DARKEST HOUR, PARKWAY DRIVE, MISERY SIGNALS, WINDS OF PLAGUE and ARSIS, among others. The trek will kick off July 29 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

ABIGAIL WILLIAMS last year completed a U.S. tour with LIGHT THIS CITY, CATTLE DECAPITATION, MALEVOLENT CREATION, and headliners VADER.

The band released its debut EP, "Legend", via Candlelight Records last year.
